Load Dynamix on Monday enhanced its storage performance validation software by adding support for OpenStack, CEPH, Amazon S3, Swift/Cinder and FCoE.

The software, which can be deployed on any file, block or object-based system, also now supports NFSv4.1, adds a steady-state VDI workload model and will support the Manila file-based protocol once it is finalized by the OpenStack community.

The company also announced a Composite Workload Editor facility in Load DynamiX Enterprise, which allows validation engineers to run multiple workloads simultaneously and to create more realistic workloads. For instance, the Composite Workload Editor can simulate applications with multiple access patterns such as ERP, CRM and databases. It can simulate virtualized applications in their environments and reproduce the I/O blender effect.

Finally the new release offers an improved load generation algorithm and DNS support.

Load Dynamix Enterprise is expected to be available for download May 30, 2015.
