Badu Networks on Wednesday announced the WarpGateway, a desktop TCP acceleration appliance that increases WiFi throughput by alleviating how the TCP protocol handles data and perceives network congestion.
The WarpGateway installs between the client desktop and the WiFi router and smooths the rate and flow of data packets to maximize throughput on available bandwidth and better analyze “true” congestion to keep data flowing at optimal capacity.
Three versions of the WarpGateway are available: the WG-100 with 100Mbps throughput, the WG-100V with 100Mbps throughput and VLAN support and, the WG-100VB with 100Mbps throughput, VLAN support and failover, bypass capability.
