Stratoscale, an AWS-compatible private cloud provider, on Monday announced the acquisition of Tesora, a database-as-a-service (DBaaS) vendor. Stratoscale, whose Symphony 3 allows customers to implement a hybrid cloud strategy by transforming on-premises infrastructure into an AWS Region, claims that Tesora’s DBaaS platform
will allow them to provide database capabilities to their clients, in addition to the application catalog, Kubernetes-as-a-Service, cloud monitoring, identity and access management and migration services the company already provides.

In addition, Stratoscale announced the availability of a managed AWS-compatible relational database service (RDS) that offers a single-click deployment and scalability, while removing operational friction.
