If you’re backing up a sixty gig hard drive, you might want to at least make sure you have a sixty gig removable hard drive, portable hard drive You want the size of the hard drive to reflect the size of the hard drive in your computer. That way, you’re not going to run out of space when you’re backing things up. Now, another thing you want to look for, is the software.
A lot of computers have built in software to back up. Although a lot of people like something a little easier. So, most of the manufacturers of these a, external hard drives nowadays, are putting little buttons on them. And they have software. So, you install the software on your computer, you plug in your removable hard drive, you push a button, and it just backs everything up for you.
Now, if you don’t need that, and you just want to have your computer use your own software that you have, than you might not need that feature. You might be able to save a few dollars. Point being, you just want to make sure no matter what you’re doing, you’re backing the data up. Cause, if you’re not backing it up, there’s a good chance one day, you’re going to loose your information.
